An unfortunate fact of life is that cargo gets stolen, despite the best efforts of all concerned. If your cargo is prone to theft, then there are some things that you can do to try and avoid this.

These are:-

• advise the carrier so special attention can be given to your cargo i.e. it can be put in a secure location.
• delete any external reference to the cargo contents.
• if your company has a "name" that is recognisable with a particular product, then hide your name or use a pseudonym.
• arrange for black plastic shrink-wrap to be put around the pallets.
