Hapag Container Line Increase to Alameda Corridor Surcharge - USA

Since June this year, Hapag Container Line has been charging a higher Alameda Corridor Surcharge than all other lines that use the port of Long Beach. As we were in negotiations with this line at the time, we have been absorbing this increase since then in the hope that we could convince them to waive the increase. Unfortunately, we were unable to do so and as such, since this is now a permanent increase, we have no choice other than to pass on the additional amount, effective immediately, of $1.00 per 20ft and 40ft container effective 12th August, 2009.

20’GP – From 19.00 USD per CN to 20.00 USD per CN
40’GP – From 38.00 USD per CN to 39.00 USD per CN

FCL/ LCL EFAF Increase Ex USA and Canada to Australia – DIR service

With effect 15th September 2009, all FCL shipments ex USA and Canada to Australia will be subject to the following EFAF increase:

20’GP - from USD 296.00 per CN to USD 540.00 per CN
40’GP – from USD 592.00 per CN to USD 1080.00 per CN

Also coming into effect from 15th September 2009 will be revised LCL EFAF:

From USD 14.00/ cbm to USD 22.00/ cbm

LCL General Rate Increase ex USA and Canada to Australia – DIR service

We regret that our original advice that the USA GRI was $6.00 was in error and that the actual increase was $7.00.

This will be implemented with immediate effect.

Air Fuel Surcharge Increase ex USA to Australia

With effect 1st September, fuel surcharge ex United States to Australia will be subject to the following rate increase:

From: 0.63 USD/ kg to 0.70 USD/ kg
