The Opposition Political Parties have joined together against the Government Machinery and called for a Nationwide strike on Monday, July 05, 2010 to protest against the increase in fuel and gas prices announced by the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas and consequent increase in commodity prices.

All the States in India will be affected by the strike and there will be a halt in all commercial activities including rail/road transportation, airports, offices etc.
